The only known specimen is a fossil in amber. The fossil contains one partly decomposed Palaeoagaracites fungus mushroom that hosts a parasitic fungus called Mycetophagites. Mycetophagites is the host of Entropezites.
Hyphae of Entropezites are preserved penetrating the Mycetophagites hyphae forming areas of decomposing tissues. Entropezites also displays a range of growth stages for probable zygospores.
