Sauroposeidon (meaning "earthquake god lizard", after the Greek god Poseidon) was a sauropod dinosaur that lived during the Early Cretaceous period in North America.
Sauroposeidon was the tallest known dinosaur. It was able to extended its neck to 17 m (56 ft) high. It was also estimated to be up to 34 m (112 ft) long and weigh about 50–60 t.
