Mahakala (meaning "For Mahakala") is a genus of basal dromaeosauridae dinosaur from Late Cretaceous Mongolia. It was found in the Gobi Desert. Like some other Gobi Desert dinosaurs, it is based only on a partial skeleton. It was described quite recently, in 2007. Like other dromaeosauridaes, Mahakala was a small predatory pack-hunter.
