Megalosaurus was a meat eating dinosaur that lived in England, China, Africa, and South America during the Mid Jurassic period. It is known for being the first dinosaur to be discovered. Its name simply means "Big lizard", because it was 29-33feet and 8 metres long.Megalosaurus' was a medium-sized theropod, but its class is megalosaurid.It was discovered by Sang Zhoujugi in China in the 1820's, and reconized as a dragon.It was first found in China, but all the other times archiologist found Megalosaurus it was considered a dinosaur because in 1824 when it was described it got its name, Megalosaurus.
