Mycetophagites was a mycoparasitic (a parasite of fungus) fungus in the order Hypocreales. It lived It lived during the Cretaceous period about 100 million years ago.
The only known specimen is a fossil in amber. The fossil contains one partly decomposed Palaeoagaracites fungus mushroom that hosts a Mycetophagites. Mycetophagites is the host of another fungus called Entropezites.
