Pliosaurus (meaning "More lizard") is a type of marine reptile with numerous specimens found in Europe. Currently, six species have been named, four from England, one from Russia, and one from Svalbard. all of the species lived in the Late Jurassic, with the largest ones being P. macromerus and P. funkei. Unlike other pliosaurids, Pliosaurus had triangular teeth in cross section.
