Saltopus is not to be confused with Saltoposuchus.

The name Saltopus means "Leaping Foot", but this dinosaur used it's long hind legs to run, not to leap. It was the size of a cat. It used it's long legs, long neck, clawed fingers, and sharp teeth to catch and devour it's prey item, which are bugs. For a while experts said "Yes, Saltopus is a dinosaur", now, most experts say "No, Saltopus is not a dinosaur". To those who say no it was a close relative.
