#Spinosaurus (meaning "Spined lizard") is a genus of theropod spinosaur[[File:Spinosaurus Four Legs.png|thumb|427x427px]]dinosaur. It had a 6 foot tall sail on its back, possibly to mate or to cool off. Spinosaurus lived in the middle and late Cretaceous in Africa and South America, living alongside Carcharodontosaurus. It ate fish and meat. It usually ate Onchopristis and Ouranosaurus. Spinosaurus was 30 feet tall 60 feet long and weighs 13 tonnes and was discovered in 1912 by a german paleontologist but the bones were destroyed in world war 2.for many years, all paleontologists had to go on in order to understand these dinosaurs were drawings of their bones that had been published around the world.
